DESCRIPTION:The Bagaduce Music Lending Library and Friends of the Blue Hill
  Public Library will present a preview of Giacomo Puccini’s opera\, La B
 ohème\, on Friday\, February 23rd at 1:00 PM at the Blue Hill Public Libr
 ary. A live performance of the opera will be simulcast at The Grand in Ell
 sworth the following day\, Saturday\, February 24th\, from the Metropolita
 n Opera in New York.\n\nAccording to the Met website\, “The world’s mo
 st popular opera returns in Franco Zeffirelli’s classic production\, wit
 h a series of exciting casts. Angel Blue\, Anita Hartig\, and Sonya Yonche
 va share the role of the fragile Mimì\, with Dmytro Popov\, Russell Thoma
 s\, and Michael Fabiano alternating as the poet Rodolfo. Alexander Soddy a
 nd Marco Armiliato share conducting duties.”\n\nLocal opera enthusiasts 
 Linda Lesko and David Porter will summarize the plot\, introduce the music
  and offer some ideas of special ways to enjoy the Saturday simulcast. All
  are welcome\, no previous opera knowledge is needed\, and admission is fr
