DESCRIPTION:On Thursday\, September 27th at 2:00 pm\, The Grand projects on
  the giant Coastal Eye Care screen a live\, high-definition simulcast of t
 he NT Live presentation of Shakespeare's classic tale of politics gone mad
  “King Lear”\, starring Ian McKellen. Broadcast live from London’s W
 est End\, see McKellen’s ‘extraordinarily moving portrayal’ (Indepen
 dent) of King Lear in cinemas. Chichester Festival Theatre’s production 
 received five-star reviews for its sell-out run\, and transfers to the Wes
 t End for a limited season. Jonathan Munby directs this contemporary retel
 ling of Shakespeare’s tender\, violent\, moving and shocking play. Consi
 dered by many to be the greatest tragedy ever written\, “King Lear” se
 es two ageing fathers– one a King\, one his courtier– reject the child
 ren who truly love them. Their blindness unleashes a tornado of pitiless a
 mbition and treachery\, as family and state are plunged into a violent pow
