Val Libby, a retired professor of landscape history & horticulture at Temple University, will be offering the following short course in garden history at Blue Hill Library on Monday afternoons (2-4pm) in June. We will meet June 5, 12, 19, & 26.
3 Centuries of New England Garden History
Explore historic gardening in New England from the 1600s to early 1900s. Find out how gardens shaped by human needs, beliefs, desires and values. Based on existing historic sites as our examples, this course will enhance your appreciation of historic landscapes, their preservation and their management today.
There is an $80 registration fee.
