DESCRIPTION:The Blue Hill Public Library is starting a new monthly series o
 f discussions on issues affecting our community\, the state and the world:
  the “Blue Hill Community Issues Forum.” The series will be organized 
 and moderated by retired history professor\, Dr. Gregory Bush\, with the g
 oal of stimulating in-person civic dialogue about important but sometimes 
 overlooked issues on the Blue Hill Peninsula\, in Maine and across the nat
 ion. Events will be streamed online via Facebook\, with additional pre-eve
 nt information and a post-event blog provided at www.sites.google.com/view
 /bluehillforum.\nThe first event in this series will be on Wednesday\, Feb
 ruary 13 at 6:30 PM\, a panel discussion on the topic “Home Safety Chall
 enges on the Peninsula.” This forum will examine issues of crime\, fire 
 safety\, and aging in place as they impact households on the Blue Hill Pen
 insula. Including local experts and longtime residents\, panelists will as
 sess the dangers\, resources\, and unique challenges of our rural/small to
 wn area. Members of the audience are encouraged to bring their own perspec
 tives and speak out after the initial presentations.\nSpeakers include Sco
 tt Kane\, Hancock County Sheriff\; Denny Robertson\, former Blue Hill Fire
  Chief\, Harbor Master\; Ann Schroth\, Program Coordinator\, Healthy Penin
 sula\; and Kara Janes LMSW\, Program Manager\, At Home. This event is spon
