DESCRIPTION:Blue Hill Public Library will be hosting the annual National Ge
 ographic Bee for 4th to 8th grade homeschoolers on Friday January 18th\, 1
 0:30 AM to 12:30 PM. Every year thousands of schools across the country pa
 rticipate in the event\, which is sponsored by the National Geographic Soc
 iety. The contest is intended to increase public awareness and student int
 erest in geography and to encourage teachers to include the subject in sch
 ool curricula. The library’s event is free but registration is required.
  Contestants can register at www.bhpl.net or by calling 207-374-5515.\nThe
  winner of the bee will advance to the next level of competition\, a writt
 en examination that will determine who will compete at the state level. Fo
