Come learn how to draw expressive portraits! This workshop is for people who have had some experience with drawing, but who want to get better at drawing emotion and faces. You will come away with a better understanding of how to proportion a face and align features to show realistic emotion. You will be working in graphite but feel free to bring your favorite drawing materials if you have any. All materials will be included.
Join Gabrielle for instructed sessions on portraiture and clothed figure drawing or use the time to practice with our model! See the syllabus below.

About the instructor: Gabrielle is a young illustrator and multimedia artist. She grew up on a small island in Maine, and consistently finds her art influenced by her upbringing. She worked for the Illustration institute based out of Portland Maine in 2020 producing a short documentary series about how drawing influences thinking. Gabrielle is currently enrolled at College of the Atlantic and is on course to graduate with a study in visual narratives. When she’s not drawing or crafting you can find her planning her next cross-country bike tour.
