Bring your family and friends to this year’s first annual Just Move Fun Run & Walk! Organized by GraceCarrFitness LLC in partnership with the Blue Hill Heritage Trust and the Blue Hill YMCA, we are thrilled to put on an event embodying our collective missions and dedication to fitness, health and an appreciation for the wonder of our natural backyard.
Join us Saturday August 7 @ 8am. Day-of registration opens at 8:00. Registered participants should arrive by 8:30 to sign in, collect your bib and pick up your T-shirt. The race will start promptly at 9:00.
The race will start & end @ the Blue Hill First Congregational Church. The race will start at the entrance of BHHT’s Murphy trail, follow the trail’s left fork and emerge onto Parker Point Road. The course runs past the country club, around the Parker point dirt loop, and back to the Murphy trail to the finish. The distance is approximately 3.7 miles. The run will be marked and volunteers will be stationed along the course to assure runners don’t stray.
Prizes will be awarded to those runners who place 1st, 2nd and 3rd overall. Awards will also go to 1st, 2nd and 3rd place female and male finishers as well as 1st place 50 + male & female, 1st place 70 + male & female and the youngest runner. Presentation of the awards will begin after the race has finished.
We are also hosting a raffle! Three lucky winners will receive gift bags with items from our event organizer, partners and sponsors.
Please register for the event by July 15 in order to guarantee a race T-shirt in your size. Registration will stay open until 8pm on Thursday August, 5. Shirts will be given out on a first-come-first-serve basis for late and day-of registrants. To register online, please visit: gracecarrfitness.com
This is a not-for-profit event. We appreciate donations to help us cover the costs of putting on the run this year and in future years! We encourage participants to donate online ahead of the race. Donations will also be accepted at the event.
Suggested donation: $15/person or $30/family
