SUMMARY:Joan Vienot Solo Exhibit\, April 2026
DESCRIPTION:          Joan Vienot is inviting the public to view her exhibi
 t of 60 framed paintings at Northeast Harbor Library during the month of A
 pril 2026. Joan moved from coastal Northwest Florida to become a fulltime 
 resident of Maine in 2022\, with the express intention of painting the roc
 ky coastline. This exhibit displays some of the many landscape paintings c
 ompleted since her move.\n           “My mission is to share the beauty 
 that I see\,” Joan says. “I want my paintings to bring up a memory of 
 time spent at the rocky shore\, a feeling of recognition from a past visit
 \, places inviting return\, places calling to the heart\, perhaps a remind
 er of peaceful and less complicated times.” An accomplished and recogniz
 ed plein air painter\, Joan can often be found somewhere in the region\, s
 ketchbook in hand and palette nearby. Her favorite subjects often include 
 the light on the colorful granite of Mt. Desert Island and the Schoodic Pe
 ninsula. \n          The public is invited to view the exhibit from April 
 1 to April 30\, 2026\, at Northeast Harbor Library which is located at 1 J
 oy Road in Northeast Harbor\, Maine. Joan will be at the library on Thursd
 ay\, April 9\, from 5:30-7:30PM for her Meet-the-Artist Reception. 20% of 
 all sales will benefit the Library. For those who cannot make the trip to 
 Northeast Harbor\, Joan has created a virtual exhibit which is linked on h
 er website home page at joanvienot.com.\n          The Mellon Room at Nort
 heast Harbor Library occasionally is booked for private use. Anyone making
  a special trip just to see the exhibit should call the library at (207) 2
 76-3333 to make sure the room will be available for their visit.\n
