DESCRIPTION:Join Joseph Greeley\, docent at the Jonathan Fisher House and h
 istorical cooking enthusiast\, for an outdoor cooking demonstration of a h
 istorical recipe and technique.\n\nOn Saturday\, July 11\, Joe will be coo
 king up fried fish with lemon butter anchovy sauce. This recipe comes from
  the 1753 Ladies’ Companion cookbook\, and could very well have been use
 d in the Fisher household\, especially as we have evidence that Jonathan F
 isher frequently went fishing for his supper. He noted in his diary for Ju
 ly 25\, 1800\, “Went A.M. with Mr. H. a-fishing. Caught about 9 1/2 lbs.
  trout.” Stop by to see the process of interpreting the recipe and cooki
 ng with period techniques\, and enjoy samples when the food is complete!\n
 \nThe free cooking demo will begin at 1:00 PM and visitors are encouraged 
 to watch and ask questions during the process. Tours of the interior of th
 e Fisher House are available from 1:00-4:00 PM\, with a $10 suggested dona
 tion. Visitors are also welcome to self-tour the grounds and tool exhibit 
 in the Slaven Barn on the property. The Fisher House is located at 44 Mine
