SUMMARY:Help Plant a Butterfly Garden with the  Blue Hill Public Library
DESCRIPTION:Kids and their families are invited by the Blue Hill Public Lib
 rary and Healthy Peninsula to help plant a butterfly garden at the Healthy
  Peninsula office on Parker Point Road near the library on Wednesday\, Jun
 e 27th from 10:00 AM to noon. Kids will then be invited to help tend the g
 arden throughout the summer in preparation for the release of monarch butt
 erflies that will be raised at the library.\n\nFor the past two springs\, 
 the library has raised and released painted lady and monarch butterflies s
 o that patrons can witness the different stages of metamorphosis. With the
  new native plant garden\, there will be a place near the library\, with a
 n abundance of plants for the butterflies to feed on\, where they can be r
 eleased.\n\nThe butterfly garden is part of a series of five "Conservation
  Kids" projects by the library called “Caring for the Shore\, and more!
 ” that will engage youth volunteers to positively impact the environment
  and their community on the Blue Hill Peninsula. The projects\, made possi
 ble by a grant from the Davis Conservation Foundation\, are designed to sh
 ow kids how they can make a difference in caring for\, and preserving\, th
 e natural world around them. Native Gardens of Blue Hill helped provide ad
 vice and design the plantings\, as well as procure native plants for the p
