DESCRIPTION:The Grand is excited to continue its fine tradition of presenti
 ng live theater on the Stanley Subaru Stage with a marvelous production of
  the Broadway classic musical “The Pajama Game” from George Stevens Ac
 ademy in Blue Hill\, running Friday November 9th and Saturday\, November 1
 0th\, both at 7:00 pm. A union strike at a pajama factory generates plenty
  of steam heat in this toe-tapping\, comedic love story!  Conditions at th
 e Sleep-Tite Pajama Factory are anything but peaceful as sparks fly betwee
 n new superintendent\, Sid Sorokin\, and Babe Williams\, leader of the uni
 on grievance committee. Their stormy relationship comes to a head when the
  workers strike for a 7 ½ cent pay increase\, setting off not only a conf
 lict between management and labor\, but a battle of the sexes as well. Dir
 ected by Moira McMahon\, this is one of the great classic Broadway musical
 s which introduced the hits “Hey There” and “There Once Was A Man.
