Friends From the Field Webinar: Conservation and Sheep Grazing

Is it possible to raise healthy meat and exquisite fiber while benefiting the land and soil where the sheep live and graze? We call it the Sheep Trust Project and it started with this question.
In 2023 Ariane Stewart of Brooklin and Suzanne Norgang of Blue Hill, connected over love of food and fiber and a shared desire to raise sheep… differently. Together we founded Woven Tide LLC and in spring of 2024 launched a regenerative grazing program on conservation lands in partnership with the Island Heritage Trust. The project is ongoing and growing. We are excited to share with the community the story of Woven Tide, the Sheep Trust Project and our plans for sheep on the landscape in 2025 and beyond.
