DESCRIPTION:Join BHHT and IHT as we welcome Maine author/illustrator and Ma
 ine Master Naturalist\, Rebekah Lowell\, in a nature journaling workshop t
 o cultivate your curiosity and learn how to find the wonder around you. We
 'll learn what nature journaling is\, how it benefits us (and our world)\,
  then we'll get started in our nature journaling practice. We'll learn how
  to draw textures and explore some nature journaling prompts. Bring your f
 avorite sketching supplies.\n\nRebekah Lowell is an award-winning author/i
 llustrator\, designer\, educator and Maine Master Naturalist with a curios
 ity for the natural world. A survivor of domestic abuse\, she is passionat
 e about resilience\, freedom\, and hope. Her middle grade novel in verse\,
  THE ROAD TO AFTER (Nancy Paulsen/Penguin)\, was a Junior Library Guild se
 lection and received multiple honors and awards. Her picture book illustra
 tion for\, CATCHING FLIGHT (Doubleday/Random House)\, was long-listed for 
 the World Illustration Awards. She earned her BFA from The Rhode Island Sc
 hool of Design\, and her MFA from Hollins University. She earned her Natur
 e Journal Educator certificate through the Wild Wonder Foundation and is e
 arning her certificate in Natural Science Illustration through RISD. She s
 erves on the Board for York County Audubon\, transports birds for Avian Ha
 ven\, and rescues monarchs from local hayfields. She is a Professor of Art
 \, teaching Graphic Design and Nature Journaling at the University of New
