SUMMARY:Film &amp\; Project Series Art: History and Hands-On
DESCRIPTION:Back by popular demand\, local artist and gallery-owner Margret
  Baldwin will reprise a series of five art history film screenings at the 
 Blue Hill Public Library\, each paired with an optional\, related hands-on
  workshop the next evening. The film screenings are Friday nights at 7:00 
 PM\, on July 6th &amp\; 27th\, August 10th &amp\; 24th\, and September 7th
 . The related workshops are on each subsequent Saturday at 5:00 PM.\n\nThe
 se events are free and open to all\, but space in the hands-on art worksho
 ps is limited. Registration for the art workshops will be taken at the fil
 m screening the previous night\, and is limited to those who attend the fi
 lms.\nThese events are sponsored by the library and supported by a grant f
 rom the Maine Humanities Council &amp\; the Maine Arts Commission\, as wel
 l as the Friends of the Library.\nThe complete schedule is as follows: Jul
 y 6: Cave of Forgotten Dreams\, paired with a cave painting art project on
  July 7\; July 27: Michelangelo: Love and Death\, followed by a subtractiv
 e sculpture art project on July 28\; August 10: Mr. Turner\, followed by a
 n atmospheric painting art project on August 11\; August 24: Loving Vincen
 t\, with a brushstrokes art project on August 25\; September 7: Jean-Miche
 l Basquiat: The Radiant Child will cap off the series with a graffiti art 
 project on September 8.\n\nMargret is a certified art instructor with 25 y
 ears in the public school system and private teaching experience. She expa
 nded her exposure to art and artists through her curatorial experience dur
 ing eight years of employment at the Blue Hill Public Library. She has exh
 ibited widely and in the summer runs her neighborhood “Little Gallery”
