DESCRIPTION:Blue Hill Public Library will host a discussion\, “Living wit
 h Alzheimer's and Other Memory Loss: A Case for Long Term Planning and Adv
 ance Directives\,” including a short film\, on Thursday\, November 1st a
 t 5 PM. The event is cosponsored by Healthy Peninsula\, Choices That Matte
 r Community Partners\, and the library\, and is being held in observance o
 f November as Alzheimer’s Awareness Month.\n\nThe Alzheimer’s Associat
 ion points out that while it is important for everyone to plan for the fut
 ure\, it's especially important for a person diagnosed with a dementia. Ea
 rly Care Planning insures one’s full participation in the process. The p
 anelists will be Peter Sullivan\, board-certified gerontological RN and ce
 rtified dementia practitioner\; Anne Donovan-Fortier\, Licensed Clinical S
 ocial Worker in Palliative Care\; and Susan Ostertag M.D.\, Geriatrician a
 nd retired Hospice Medical Director. They will address when and how to hav
 e the conversations that support values and priorities along the disease s
 pectrum.\n\nThere is no change for this event and everyone is welcome. For
