SUMMARY:“Explore Outdoors!” Programs for Kids in May at the Blue Hill P
 ublic Library
DESCRIPTION:Julianne Taylor\, education coordinator for “Explore Outdoors
 !” – a collaboration between Blue Hill Heritage Trust\, Downeast Audub
 on and Great Pond Mountain Conservation Trust – will be doing two events
  at the Blue Hill Public Library in May. First will be a special Preschool
  Storytime event on Tuesday May 15th at 10:30 AM\, where she will read the
  story Swimming Home by Susan Hand Shetterly and illustrated by local arti
 st Rebekah Raye\, which tells the story of Pesca the alewife as she migrat
 es back to her freshwater home in Lily Lake. After the story\, participant
 s will do a fish printing activity.\nThe next day\, Wednesday\, May 16th a
 t 3:30 PM\, Julianne will do an afterschool program on how alewives and yo
 ung eels make an incredible migration back to Maine each spring. Participa
 nts will learn about the different diadromous fish in Maine and do a fish 
 printing activity.\n\nThese program are co-sponsored by the library and 
 “Explore Outdoors!”. There is no charge and everyone is welcome. For m
