DESCRIPTION:The Blue Hill Concert Association’s 2026 season continues wit
 h a performance by “Boyd Meets Girl\,” a husband-wife duo from New Yor
 k City. The concert will begin at 3:00 pm on Sunday\, March 8\, at the Fir
 st Congregational Church of Blue Hill\, 22 Tenney Hill.\n\nDuring the inte
 rmission members of the audience can enjoy refreshments\, view works by st
 udents of Blue Hill Harbor School\, and then meet with representatives fro
 m the featured cultural institution\, Opera House Arts in Stonington.\n\nB
 oyd Meets Girl pairs Australian classical guitarist Rupert Boyd with Ameri
 can cellist Laura Metcalf. The duo has toured the world sharing their ecle
 ctic mix of music. Their two studio albums have received over 4 million st
 reams on Spotify. The duo’s debut album\, released in 2017\, reached #3 
 on the Billboard Traditional Classical chart\, and Gramophone praised the 
 group: “They play like one\, with a harmony of purpose as sure as their 
 intonation.”\n\nFor the concert on the 8th of March\, their eclectic mix
  will include works from three continents\, from Bach to Debussy\, Villa-L
 obos to Shaw\, Lennon/McCartney to Radiohead. The duo arranges much of the
 ir repertoire themselves\, drawing inspiration from artists across all gen
 res. During the concert\, they create an engaging\, conversational concert
  experience that breaks down boundaries not only between musical genres bu
 t between audience and performer.\n\nTickets are $35 and can be purchased 
 at the door or at the website: www.bluehillconcertassociation.org.  Admiss
 ion is free for anyone 21 and under and for music teachers.
