DESCRIPTION:Join BHHT for the 1st in a three part Conservation Lecture Seri
 es. On April 17th\, David Montague will give a presentation about the Down
 east Lakes Land Trust’s efforts to conserve more than 370\,000 acres of 
 forest land in Downeast Maine and manage the 56\,000-acre Downeast Lakes C
 ommunity Forest for wildlife habitat\, outdoor recreation\, and a sustaina
 ble forest economy. The presentation will describe grassroots efforts to s
 ecure forests and lakes for future generations\, using conservation to pro
 tect a way of life and drive the economic well-being of a small community.
  This case study will explore the crucial role of forests in our region an
 d offer ideas and inspiration for conservation efforts on the Blue Hill Pe
