DESCRIPTION:The public is invited to celebrate the winter solstice at the B
 lue Hill Public Library on Friday\, December 21st from 2:00 to 4:00 PM. Th
 e library will be offering hot cocoa\, tea and snacks along with the oppor
 tunity to make a lantern. Lanterns will be made from glass jars decorated 
 on the outside with colorful tissue paper. Participants can light their co
 mpleted lanterns outside at sundown (3:57 PM) and celebrate the returning 
 of the light on the shortest day of the year.\n\nThis event is sponsored b
