 , 2/2\, 3/2\, 4-5p\n \n Blue Hill conductor and composer George Emlen will
  return to lead participants in this ancient communal practice for three s
 essions. Since the dawn of civilization\, humans have communicated and cel
 ebrated with music and song. \n\n“Circlesinging is one of the most excit
 ing ways to make music I have ever known in my long musical life\,” says
  Emlen\, who for 35 years was the music director of Revels\, best known fo
 r its rich and joyful celebrations of world cultural traditions. “I thin
 k of it as a kind of improvised choral singing.” \nThe person responsibl
 e for the modern phenomenon of Circlesinging is singer Bobby McFerrin\, wi
 th whom Emlen has studied in recent years. “My experiences with Bobby an
 d his amazing team of vocalists changed my life\,” he says. “To be abl
 e to create\, in the moment\, multilayered harmonies and counterpoint with
  a roomful of singers is an experience unlike any other.” \n\nSingers of
  all skill levels and experiences are welcome – participants need only t
 o love to sing. Each session will be limited in size to 30 singers.\nThis
