 eGrand series of recent well-reviewed films presented on the giant Coastal
  Eye Care with a beautiful adaptation of one of Anton Chekov's classic pla
 ys- “The Seagull.” One summer at a lakeside Russian estate\, friends a
 nd family gather for a weekend in the countryside. While everyone is caugh
 t up in passionately loving someone who loves somebody else\, a tragicomed
 y unfolds about art\, fame\, human folly\, and the eternal desire to live 
 a purposeful life. Adapted by Tony-winning playwright Stephen Karam ("The 
 Humans") from Chekhov's best-known works and directed by Tony-winner Micha
 el Mayer ("Spring Awakening")\, the film explores\, with comedy and melanc
 holy\, the obsessive nature of love\, the tangled relationships between pa
 rents and children\, and the transcendent value and psychic toll of art. T
