Join the Island Heritage Trust, on Saturday, May 14th to celebrate INTERNATIONAL MIGRATORY BIRD DAY from 8-9:30am.
Celebrate International Migratory Bird Day with Bonnie Bochan, field ornithologist, by welcoming these neotropical migrants on their northward passage as they pass through her garden. We will ponder the miracle of their epic journeys arriving from the Caribbean, Mexico, Central and South America or perhaps as near as the southeast U.S. Bonnie has been studying a community of birds in the Ecuadorian Amazon for over 25 years that includes 50 North American winter residents or passage migrants and now lives on Deer Isle.
Meet at 94 Pressey Village Road in Deer Isle.
