“Sam Lardner’s flamenco fusion takes you on a powerful journey through the sounds of Spain. Nothing short of a delicious cross-cultural musical feast” Pep Tort: La Vanguardia
Sam Lardner & Barcelona have been serving up their version of delicious flamenco fusion now for over a decade. Lardner is a master songwriter and storyteller with a voice that can deliver a romantic Bolero or a rousing Rumba with equal ease. Annabel Villalonga is an elegant guitarist from the island of Menorca, Juan Flores is the favorite of every audience with his major intensity on percussion, and Sandra Sangiao and Nuna Garcia add rhythm, richness and depth with their syncopated hand clapping and beautiful vocal harmonies. The end result is an unforgettable, powerful musical journey through life and love in modern Spain.
A true global citizen, Sam was raised in Essex, CT and is a long-time resident of Spain. Over the years, Sam has performed with his flamenco fusion band throughout Europe and the United States, where he is a regular at folk and world music festivals. Before beginning his music career, Sam was a teacher of Russian and Spanish at the Hotchkiss School in Connecticut, and his talent as an educator and coach is evident in every performance he gives.
