 ay and William Holden.\n\nIn this satire\, veteran news anchorman Howard B
 eale discovers that he's about to be fired due to declining ratings. After
  threatening to shoot himself on live television\, he agrees to apologize\
 , but instead he launches into an angry televised rant\, during which rati
 ngs skyrocket. The network then uses Beale to develop even more outrageous
  programming.\n\nAll films are shown free of charge on the library’s “
