SUMMARY:Blue Hill Library Conservation Kids:  Build a Birdhouse
DESCRIPTION:Kids are invited to build birdhouses for chickadees at the Blue
  Hill Public Library on Wednesday\, August 8th from 10:00 AM to noon. Inte
 rns from Holbrook Island Sanctuary will be on hand to help kids assemble b
 irdhouse kits designed for black-capped chickadees. The workshop is free a
 nd each child can take a finished birdhouse home\, but space and materials
  are limited so registration is required. Participants should register via
  the library’s interactive calendar at www.bhpl.net. The birdhouse kits 
 were made by the interns at Holbrook Island Sanctuary.\n\nThis project is 
 fourth in a series of five "Conservation Kids" projects by the library tha
 t are intended to engage youth volunteers to positively impact the environ
 ment and community on the Blue Hill Peninsula. The projects are designed t
 o teach kids proactive steps they can take to make a difference in helping
  to preserve the natural world around them. These programs are made possib
 le by a grant from the Davis Conservation Foundation. For more information
