Blue Hill Heritage Trust is excited to announce a new program series for 2021 called A Steward’s Almanac: A Year of Caring for the Land! Offering monthly 2 hour hands-on workshops* to learn stewardship skills relevant to your backyard and beyond, you can register for one or for them all though space will be limited. We have an incredible cast of workshop leaders who will share their knowledge and help us all become better caretakers of the place we call home.

*While the COVID spike continues in Maine the workshops will be a combination of video recording and zoom Q and A. As soon as we can we will return to the original workshop format of outdoors and hands-on!

After watching the January “Backyard Forest Management” video

join Sandy and BHHT to ask your questions about trees in your own backyard, ideas for how you might learn about, manage and enjoy them. Sandy can also answer questions about winter tree identification, measuring tree diameters and heights, forest ecology and development, fire wood harvest, and other forest products. In a nutshell, any questions you might have about your forest!
