DESCRIPTION:Blue Hill’s Congregational Church presents “I Am My Neighbo
 rs Keeper” as the only stop in Maine of Avery Sharpe’s New England tou
 r with his Double Quartet\, on Sunday\, October 12th at 4 p.m.\n\nMr. Shar
 pe on Bass\, Andrew Wilcox on piano\, Yoron Israel on drums\, Tony Vacca o
 n balafon/African percussion\, Sarah Briggs and Kaila Graef on violins\, G
 regory Diehl on viola and Dave Haughey on cello will perform this new work
 .\n\nMr. Sharp composed this work to highlight our commitment to one anoth
 er. The U.S political climate changed drastically in the past 40 plus year
 s.  In this age of greed\, as Avery refers to as "IGM" (I Got Mine)\, basi
 c human compassion has been eroded.\n\nHe saw the need to remind people th
 at each of us is here on this planet for a very short period of time. It d
 oesn't matter if one has a religious or a secular approach\, it all comes 
 down to concern and compassion for each other. It is Avery’s hope and mi
 ssion as an artist to remind everyone that we all are interconnected\, and
  "We Are Our Neighbors Keeper".\n\nTickets are available at the door for $
