 hursday\, August 2\, at 7:00 PM.\n\nDr. Laura Markham has a PhD in clinica
 l psychology from Columbia University\, which\, she says\, was just the be
 ginning of her education as a psychologist. Becoming a mother convinced he
 r that parents are doing the hardest job in the world. Her children are no
 w 26 and 22\, and she talks about her experiences with them to illustrate 
 how parents can raise self-disciplined\, responsible\, considerate\, happy
  kids -- without punishment. She says her aspiration is to change the worl
 d\, one child at a time -- by supporting parents.\n\nDr. Markham is the fo
 unding editor of AhaParenting.com\, a website for parents of babies throug
 h teens. She makes frequent TV and radio appearances and has been featured
  in many publications from Parents Magazine to The Wall Street Journal. Sh
 e reaches a world-wide audience with her online parenting course\, and ove
 r 130\,000 parents subscribe to her blog posts via email\; many more follo
