 Blue Hill Public Library
DESCRIPTION:In recognition of Alzheimer's Awareness Month\, the Blue Hill P
 ublic Library and Healthy Peninsula’s Choices That Matter project will c
 osponsor an informational fair at the library on Saturday\, November 10th 
 from 10:00 AM to 1:00 PM\, and a drop-in clinic to help folks with advance
  care planning documents from 10:00 AM to noon. The fair will offer local 
 resources for patients\, families\, and their loved ones\, with special at
 tention to the importance of completing advance directives for peace of mi
 nd for all involved.\n\nParticipating groups include: Eastern Area Agency 
 on Aging\, Friends in Action\, Friendship Cottage\, Home Instead\, Hospice
  Volunteers of Hancock County\, Northern Light Home Health &amp\; Hospice\
 , and Parker Ridge\, in addition to Choices That Matter. This will be a gr
 eat opportunity for professional networking and for caregivers and familie
 s of those affected with dementia or Alzheimer's.\n\nFrom 10:00 AM to noon
 \, retired local M.D. Susan Ostertag\, retired clinical psychologist Barba
 ra Sinclair\, and trained facilitator Charles Guilford will be available o
 n a drop-in basis at the library for help with filling out advance care di
 rectives and other paperwork relating to end-of-life healthcare wishes. Qu
 estions as broad as "How do I know what I want?" or as narrow as "What do 
 I put on this line of this form?" will be addressed one-on-one for anyone 
 who needs help.\n\nThere is no change for these events and everyone is wel
