SUMMARY:Alison Chase/Performance: Dancing with Steel
DESCRIPTION:This summer\, Alison Chase/Performance teams up with the Atlant
 ic Clarion Steel Band to present world-class dance and music in a series o
 f pop-up performances at unusual coastal venues in Downeast communities. T
 his renowned contemporary dance company will present family-friendly reper
 toire favorites and new works that bring humor\, illusion\, athleticism\, 
 and movement innovation to the site-specific stage. These works will inclu
 de Monkey and The White Bone Demon\, Devil Got my Women\, Tracings\, Femme
  Noir and Tsu-Ku-Tsu. The Atlantic Clarion Steel Band under the direction 
 of Nigel Chase will provide the musical accompaniment. Part performance\, 
 part dance party\, join us for this celebration of movement along the coas
 t of Maine (come by land or by sea!) Made possible with support from the M
 aine Community Foundation\, this series of performances takes place from J
 uly 27th through August 5th\n\nThe first public rehearsal will be take pla
 ce on Monday\, July 25th at Gregor's Field in Brooksville\, located at the
  intersection of Wharf and South Wharf Rd\, just before the town landing a
